A Church for the Nations

Cornerstone provides a unique opportunity for American  Christians and international students to meet and interact. We currently have open doors for friendship and ministry with international students attending UMKC and JCCC. If you are an American, you may wonder...

What makes this ministry special?

We're glad you asked.

1) God is giving us opportunities to befriend people from closed countries.

2) International students represent the leaders of tomorrow’s nations.

3) Traditional barriers of language and culture are minimized.

Currently there are 601,000 international students studying from abroad in the U.S. Roughly 25% of tomorrow’s leaders are studying on our campuses and universities at this time. The internationals among us are special people, bringing a wealth of diverse perspectives and abilities.

Last year, students from Japan, China, and Taiwan gave their lives  to Jesus Christ through Cornerstone's ministry.  And today, we  have students from these and other countries who want to meet with Americans, learn the language, and develop friendships.

Would you like to help reach other nations with Cornerstone? We are always looking for more people we can train to be part of our team to serve internationals. If you are an international, are you interested in meeting Americans, improving your English, or learning about American culture and faith? We are always looking for more international friends!

To learn more, read about Friday Night Live and our Conversation Partners program on the  Opportunities page. Also, check out the English Corner. And feel free to send a note to our international ministry leader.
